OM Holdings demonstrates resilience with 1H2026 performance amidst market challenges
27 August 2026 – OM Holdings Limited (“OMH” or the “Company”), an international manganese and silicon smelting group, has today announced its interim financial report for the half-year ended 30 June 2026 (“1H 2026”).
OMH recorded revenue of US$265.2 million for 1H 2026, representing a 14% decline as compared to the same period for 2025. This decrease was primarily due to lower volumes of manganese ores and ferrosilicon sold, despite marginally higher realised average selling price.
Average selling prices for all products increased in 1H 2026. Accordingly, the Group delivered a higher gross profit of US$30.3 million in 1H 2026 (with a gross profit margin of 11%) as compared to US$21.6 million in 1H 2025, despite lower volume of products traded. Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation, and Amortisation also saw an increase to US$87.0 million for 1H 2026 compared with US$19.1 million for 1H 2025.
Commenting on the results, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of OMH, Mr Low Ngee Tong stated, “Following the challenging market conditions throughout FY2025, we have seen a gradual improvement in the pricing environment, supported by evolving supply and geopolitical dynamics. The Group returned to profitability in 1H 2026 and strengthened its financial position through the early redemption of US$20.7 million of bonds and the sale of its 13% effective interest in the Tshipi Mine, while returning capital to shareholders through a special dividend. Though it remains too early to determine whether the improvement in price is sustainable, we remain focused on operational resilience and disciplined capital management.”
The Group’s cash balances saw an increase to US$48.8 million as at June 2026. Total borrowings also decreased to US$181.1 million from US$213.1 million as at 31 December 2025, effectively reducing the Group’s borrowings-to-equity ratio from 0.50 times as at 31 December 2025 to 0.40 times as at 30 June 2026. Net asset backing per ordinary share increased to 59.47 US cents per ordinary share, reflecting the Group’s focus on maintaining a strong financial position amidst market volatility and geopolitical instability.
