Tshipi Borwa

The Group had an effective 13% interest in the Tshipi Borwa mine through a strategic partnership with Ntsimbintle Mining, a leading South African miner and explorer. On 13 May 2025, OMH executed a Sale and Purchase Agreement for the sale of its 26% interest in Ntsimbintle Mining Proprietary Limited to Exxaro Resources Limited for a consideration of ZAR 1.86 billion. The transaction became unconditional on 29 January 2026 and sale was completed on 27 February 2026.

Located in the Kalahari Manganese Field, the largest known manganese geological formation, Tshipi Borwa is a leading manganese ore producer with established infrastructure. Tshipi Borwa is an open pit mine, run on a relatively simple drill, blast, haul operation. The mine is equipped with a processing plant to crush and screen approximately 3.3 to 3.6 million tonnes per annum of manganese ore. OM Holdings will continue to work with Exxaro on the marketing of Tshipi manganese ore.
